CRAssociates, Inc.
CodeCRAssociates, Inc. (CRA) is a Viet-Nam era veteran-owned business located in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.  From our Newington, Virginia headquarters, CRA focuses on supporting the privatization and outsourcing efforts of government and commercial clients by supplying high quality medical professionals and support staff and managed health care systems under a variety of contract vehicles.

Although originally classified as a small business, CRA possesses the infrastructure and management capabilities of a much larger firm. CRA was recently listed as the 54th fastest growing privately held company in the U.S. and the 1st in Health Services by Inc. Magazine.  Our services range from  staffing support to full operational management of health services programs, including provider networks, utilization control, and reimbursement systems for clinical operations in our clients’ facilities.

CRA was established in January of 1998 by Charles H. Robbins, founder and former President and CEO of a NYSE traded health care services company.  CRA includes former executives and skilled professionals from major health care organizations, as well as former Military Health System (MHS) officers, all of whom share Mr. Robbins’ values and commitment to quality in every facet of medical services.  CRA management and staff collectively possess more than 200 years of experience in health care, acquired as active duty service members and/or Government contractors.  Individually, they have affected turnkey solutions for health care delivery systems that provide services ranging from single-physician practices to complex, multi-hospital systems serving populations as large as 2.5 million beneficiaries. The professionals selected by Mr. Robbins to form the core of CRA have managed or operated:

• Specialty clinics within large inpatient and outpatient facilities;
• Government and corporate Family Health and Primary Care Centers;
• Veterans Administration and State-owned specialty long-term care facilities;
• Home health services for private pay and Government funded individuals;
• Health care ancillary services, including radiology, laboratory, physical therapy, and occupational health; and
• Information management services, including practice-specific and integrated medical information automation systems.

During Mr. Robbins leadership of his former company, current CRA executives and staff built, maintained, and operated over 25 health care facilities, and staffed and operated innumerable military treatment facilities (MTFs).  This depth of individual and organizational understanding of health care systems, procedures, and objectives will provide the strong, central leadership needed to ensure successful performance and responsiveness on the Professional Medical Healthcare Services contract.

Charles H. Robbins, CEO and founder of CRAssociates, Inc., is also the founder and former President/CEO of a NYSE company.  He led the company through 22 consecutive years of growth, becoming a $300 million company traded on the New York Stock Exchange.  On February 1, 1997, Mr. Robbins left the company and divested himself of all holdings in the company.

In January 1998, Mr. Robbins formed CRA, and assembled a cadre of people who are thoroughly familiar with Government health care programs and needs and who have devoted their careers to improving access to quality healthcare under Federal programs—and doing so as cost-effectively as possible. Many of CRA’s senior managers held similar positions at his previous company and were responsible for that company’s solid performance in support of the PRIMUS/NAVCARE programs and other government contracts for similar services.
